Find Animal (app)

The Find Animal function on the app allows a user to search any animal by EID, NLIS ID, Visual Tag, Alternate Tag, or Society ID.
  1. On the app Dashboard, tap Find Animal.
  2. Choose the animal identifier to search by. Input Vis Tag/Alt Tag/EID/NLIS ID/Society ID, Search.

    The NLIS ID, Vis Tag, Alt Tag and Society ID fields support wildcard search in their search criteria. These are marked with *? or *.
    The EID and Vis Tag fields support scanning using connected hardware.

  3. Tap  to view the history of a particular field.

    Animals that have had an EID, Vis Tag and/or Alt Tag change will report those changes.

  4. Tap View Sessions to view the sessions the animal is in.

    All the Sessions the animal has been in, are displayed. Reconciled Sessions are shaded in green.

    Each field in the table can be independently searched via a range of search options.
    Typing in a field, below the header, will default to the "Contains" search option, tapping on the  will provide further search options.
    Tapping on a desired Session, opens the Options Menu.
  5. Animal Details can also be accessed from a current scan and/or session.
    When on Scan Screen, tap the 3 dots from the top right corner. Tap Animal Details from the dropdown.

    Animal Details will open. Tap the back arrow to go back to the animal's scan.
    From the Sessions scan list, tap and hold the animal you wish to view Animal Details for. Tap Animal Details from the list.
    Animal Details will open. Tap the back arrow to go back to the Sessions scan list.
