Forecast Tool (app)

The Forecast Tool is a flexible analysis tool that allows you to forecast:
  1. Livestock weights by a specified Target Date, or
  2. Dates livestock will reach a specified Target Weight.
The tool calculates Target Weights and Target Dates using three ADG (Average Daily Gain) measures:
  1. By Overall ADG (ADG from each animal’s first weight to last weight),
  2. By Interim ADG (ADG from each animal’s two most recent weights), and
  3. By Estimated ADG (user-specified ADG).
  1. From the StockMate Dashboard, tap Reports, Forecast Tool.

  2. If desired, apply Filters and tap LOOK UP TARGETS. Otherwise, leave Filters.

  3. In the Targets section, enter Estimated ADG and ADG Adjustment. Select Forecast Target by Date or Weight. Enter Target Weight or Target Date. Select RECALCULATE.

  4. If forecast target is by Date, ‘Average Forecast Weights’ summary will be displayed.

  5. If forecast target is by Weight, ‘Forecast Exit Dates’ graphs will be displayed.
