Inventory Transactions: Adding a Purchase, Sale, Wastage, Stocktake (app)

Item inventory can be tracked in StockMate, using Inventory Transactions:
  1. Purchases
  2. Sales
  3. Wastage
  4. Stocktake
Each of these is explained in detail below.
Refer to Setup Treatment Items (web & app) for detail on setting up Items.

Purchases

When Items are purchased, enter the detail into a Purchase Transaction.
Expiry Date can only be applied to an Item and batch within StockMate via a Purchases Transaction. The Expiry Date will be displayed in the Inventory and Treatments reports, when the matching Item and Batch are used.
  1. Tap Inventory, +, New Purchase.
  2. Enter Purchase Details, tap Add to enter Item detail.

    Enter new Item Vendors via the app main menu Settings, Purchasers & Vendors. Refer to Setup Contacts (web & app) for further information.
  3. Tap + Add to add further Item details. When complete tap Save.

  4. To edit a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transactions list, edit as required, Save.
  5. To delete a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transaction list, Delete.

Sales

When Items are sold, enter the detail into a Sales Transaction.
  1. Tap Inventory, +, New Sale.

  2. Enter Sales Details, tap Add to enter Item detail.
    Enter new Item Purchasers via the app main menu Settings, Purchasers & Vendors. Refer to Setup Contacts (web & app) for further information.

  3. Tap + Add to add further Item details. When complete tap Save.

  4. To edit a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transactions list, edit as required, Save.

  5. To delete a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transaction list, Delete.

Wastage

When Items are wasted, enter the detail into a Wastage Transaction. There are two options for entering Wastage on the app:
  1. via a Session; or
  2. via Inventory

Wastage via a Session

  1. From the Scan Summary screen tap Wastage.

  2. Enter Wastage Details, tap Add to enter Item detail.
    Property and Session Code will be auto populated to match the session.
    Hardware Devices will be disconnected while Wastage is being entered. Animals scanned while the Wastage Details screen is opened may need resending/rescanning on return to the session.
  3. Tap Add to add further Item details. When complete tap Save.

  4. To edit a Transaction; tap Wastage on the Scan Summary screen, edit as required, Save.
    Each time Wastage is selected from within the session, the same Transaction will open.

  5. To delete a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transaction list, Delete.

Wastage via Inventory

  1. Tap Inventory, +, New Wastage.

  2. Enter Wastage Details, tap Add to enter Item detail.

  3. Tap Add to add further Item details. When complete tap Save.

  4. To edit a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transactions list, edit as required, Save.

  5. To delete a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transaction list, Delete.

Stocktake

When a Stocktake is carried out, enter the detail into a Stocktake Transaction.
StockMate will record the actual Stocktake value you enter, and calculate the adjustment from reality each time you run reports. Therefore, an accurate Stocktake date/time, like all Transactions, is critical.
  1. Tap Inventory, +, New Stocktake.


  2. Enter Stocktake Details, tap Add to enter Item detail.
  3. Tap Add to add further Item details. When complete tap Save.
  4. To edit a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transactions list, edit as required, Save.
  5. To delete a Transaction; select from the Inventory Transaction list, Delete.
