Preferences (app)

The Preferences function enables the user to create a Device ID and set Backup preferences and Configure Hardware connections.

Tap More (three dots at top-right), Preferences.

  1. Device Identification: Input a Device name (Device Code is a unique autogenerated code). These fields are important where an organisation has several tablets. The Device name can be the name of the user to whom the tablet has been assigned. Users with Administration access can view the list of Devices and their status on the web. e.g., Any Devices that have not been updated can then be followed up with the relevant user.
  2. Database Backups: It is highly recommended you enable Live Backup (See Backup (app) for further information). Once setup, a backup database will be created on your SD card and any changes made in StockMate are instantly copied to the Live Backup database. Live Backup requires an SD Card to be present in the tablet.
  3. Hardware Connections: Allows users to edit the connections for hardware such as EID readers, weigh scales and automatic gates. Refer to Hardware Connections Overview (app) for detailed instructions.
  4. Miscellaneous: Provides the option for users to Show map on the Dashboard. There is also an option to use audible feedback when scanning animals.
