1.  An EID and Weight to StockMate in Data Logger Output mode or;
   
2. Weight only to StockMate in Ruddweigh mode. 
   

1. USB serial Cable; or
   
2. Bluetooth dongle and connection lead. The devices do not have built in Bluetooth therefore, a configured Bluetooth dongle and connection lead is required to allow pairing if wanting to connect to StockMate via Bluetooth.
   

Device Settings

Setting up Weigh Scale Indicator for Data Logger Mode

This configuration is useful when the EID scanner is being used through the Gallagher Weigh Scale indicator.

1. Turn the dial to S (SETUP).
   
2. Press F1 () until 5.COMMUNICATIONS.
   
3. Press F5 (SELECT).
   
4. Press F1 () to choose PORT 2.
   
5. Press F2 (CHANGE) to Data Output.
   
6. Press F3 (OPTION) to Data Output - Data Logger.
   
7. Press F4 (CONFIG).
   
8. Settings as follows: press F2 (CHANGE) to modify as required (required settings in bold).
   
1. Data Output on Lock: ON
   
2. Include EID: ON
   
3. Include VID: ON
   
4. Include Weight: ON
   
5. Include Units: ON
   
6. Include Condition: ON
   
7. Include Draft Gate: ON
   
8. Include Note/Trait: ON
   
9. External Port Power: ON
   
9. Press F4 (PORT)
   
10. Press F2 (CHANGE) repeatedly until 9600 is selected
    
11. Press F5 (OK) to exit Port settings
    
12. Press F5 (OK) to exit Data Logger configuration
    
13. Press F5 (OK) to exit Communications settings and go back to Menu
    
14. Turn the dial back to O (POWER) to power off the unit
    
15. Turn the dial back to A (AUTO) to begin weighing
    

Setting up Weigh Scale Indicator for Ruddweigh Mode

This configuration is useful when the EID scanner is connected directly to StockMate.

1. Connect the Connection cord, and dongle to Port 2 of the W610v2/W810v2.
   
2. Turn the dial to S (SETUP).
   
3. Press F1 () until 5.COMMUNICATIONS
   
4. Press F5 (SELECT)
   
   
5. Press Press F1 () to choose PORT 2
   
6. Press F2 (CHANGE) to Data Output
   
7. Press F3 (OPTION) to Data Output - Ruddweigh
   
8. Press F4 (CONFIG)
   
9. Settings as follows: press F2 (CHANGE) to modify as required (required settings in bold).
   Include Prefix: ON
   Include Weigh State: ON
   Include Weight Units: ON
   Request Mode: ON
   Send Live Weight: OFF
   Send On Weight Lock: OFF
   Sends On Weight Change: OFF
   External Port Power: ON 
   
   
   
10. Press F4 (PORT)
    
11. Press F2 (CHANGE) repeatedly until 9600 is selected
    
12. Press F5 (OK) to exit Port settings
    
13. Press F5 (OK) to exit Data Logger configuration
    
14. Press F5 (OK) to exit Communications settings and go back to Menu
    
15. Turn the dial back to O (POWER) to power off the unit
    
16. Turn the dial back to A (AUTO) to begin weighing

   Once the Weigh Scales Connected section is completed, tap Save & Test to initiate connection.

Connecting using Bluetooth Dongle

The Bluetooth Dongle must be plugged into the connection cable in Port 2 of the Gallagher Weigh Scale indicator.

1. On the StockMate Dashboard, tap , Preferences.
   
2. In the Hardware Connections Config section, tap CONFIG.
   
   
3. Tick Weigh Scales Connected.

4. Before selecting a Paired Device, pair the Android Device to the Bluetooth dongle. Open Android Bluetooth Settings using the Bluetooth button located at top right.
   
   
5. Ensure the Bluetooth device is powered on and ready to pair.
   
6. Select the device in the Available Devices list. Select Pair.
   
7. If prompted for a PIN or passcode, try 0000 or 1234, otherwise consult the Bluetooth device manual.
   
8. Press the Android Back arrow at the bottom of the device to return to StockMate.
   
9. Select the Paired Device.
   
10. Once the Weigh Scales Connected section is completed, select Save & Text to initiate connection with the Weigh Scale indicator.
    

Using in a Scan Session

To use in a scan session, from the Session Setup screen ensure Hardware Connections is ticked on. Refer to Create New Scan Session – Session Setup (app) for further details.
To check Hardware connections, tap Config, and edit if required.
