Configuration Overview (web & app)

The Configuration Section of the StockMate website allows setup of various components of the database for your business, prior to using the website and app in scan sessions.
Refer to Install StockMate & Setup Tablet (app) for StockMate app install assistance, if required.
The majority of StockMate can be set up using either the website or tablet. However, setting up via the website is highly recommended. It is a requirement that Properties and Users are set up on the website before proceeding on the tablet.
It is highly recommended to use StockMate with a Chromium-based Web browser (Chrome, Edge etc.). Using StockMate with other browsers may present issues.
Location:
  1. Properties - Setup a single or multiple properties in StockMate. Properties can be added on the web only. They can be edited on the web & app.
  2. Paddocks - Setup the paddocks within a property. Each property may consist of several paddocks. Paddocks can be added and edited on the web & app.
  3. External Properties - Refers to the locations where animals are coming from or going to and are external to the user's property. External Properties can be added and edited on the web & app.
  4. Yards & Gates - Setup multiple yards within a property and nominate the gates available within each set of yards. Yards & Gates can be added and edited on the web & app.
Livestock:
  1. Mobs - Used to identify management groups or groups of animals within the Class categories, e.g., 2022 Domestic Weaners, 2022 Export Weaners etc. Mobs can be added and edited on the web & app.
  2. Classes - Refers to the broad categories of animals; often intended market or business unit e.g., Domestic, Export, Long Fed etc. Classes can be added and edited on the web & app.
  3. Breeds - This is a pre-populated list in StockMate that can be edited or added to. Breeds can be added and edited on the web & app.
  4. Genders - This is a pre-populated list in StockMate that can be edited or added to. Genders can be added and edited on the web & app.
  5. Dentition - This is a pre-populated list in StockMate that can be edited or added to. Dentitions can be added and edited on the web & app.
  6. Body Condition Scores (BSC) - This is a pre-populated list in StockMate that can be edited or added to. Body Condition Scores (BSC) can be added and edited on the web & app.
  7. Breed Content - Customisable classification, that often relates to the percentage of Bos Indicus or Wagyu genetics an animal has. Breed Contents can be added and edited on the web & app.
  8. SANs - This field can be used as an additional identifier for animals, often associated with purchase groups. SANs can be added and edited on the web & app.
Treatment details:
  1. Treatment Items - Allows the user to record treatments administered to each animal, e.g., antibiotics, vaccinations etc. Treatment Items can be added and edited on the web & app.
  2. Health Reasons - Many Health Reasons are pre-populated in StockMate. Health Reasons can be added and edited on the web & app.
Forage details:
  1. Forage Types - Allows the user to record the types of forage on a property. This is a pre-populated list in StockMate that can be added to or edited via the web & app.
  2. Forage Levels - Allows the user to record the height/density of the forage on the property, e.g., Low, Medium, High. The pre-populated list in StockMate can be edited or added to via the web & app.
  3. Supplement Types - Supplements provided to animals can be entered. Supplement Types can be added and edited on the web & app.
Other:
  1. Markets - At Exit nominate specific markets for livestock. This can only be setup on the web. (Mob-based only).
  2. Contacts - Allows the user to include all contacts in StockMate whom the business deals with, e.g., buyers, contractors, veterinarians etc. Contacts can be setup and edited on the web, and to a limited extent on the app.
  3. Units - This is a pre-populated list for each of the following categories: Temperature, Rainfall, Land area, Feed, Supplement. The list cannot be edited however a default for each category can be chosen. Defaults can only be selected on the web.
