Create New Session – Bulk Session From Selected Scans (web)

This functionality enables you select animals from existing sessions and create a new bulk session for those animals. Arrival, Handling and Exit sessions are able to be created.
It is a useful tool for creating backdated Arrival Sessions for animals that are found in Handling Sessions.
Info
Selecting Bulk Session will create another session for the existing animals.
The animals will remain in the original session.
The functionality is ideal for creating:
  1. Arrivals for animals found in Handling Sessions
  2. Subsequent Handling Sessions from Drafts; and
  3. Exits from Handling Sessions;
This is different from creating a new bulk session to import animals into StockMate. Refer to Create New Session - Bulk Session (web) for details on importing new animals.
  1. Select Sessions. On the Session List screen, select an existing Session.
  2. Tick the animal/s for which a new session is required. Then select Bulk Session.
  3. From the drop-down list select Create Arrival/Handling/Exit Session.
In this example, select Create Handling Session.
  4. On the Bulk Handling screen, the search criteria will be disabled, however the list of selected animals will be displayed.
Select Session Property from the drop-down list. Input Session details such as Name, Date and Sub-Type (optional). Select Continue to Scan Values.
    Alert
A Session Property is required when creating a Bulk Session from Selected Scans.

  5. As with a standard Bulk Session, select the Scan Values tab and enter the values to be bulk applied to the animals as part of creating the session. Select Create session with scans for X selected animals.
For further instructions on updating animal details in bulk, refer to Create New Session – Bulk Session (web).
  6. Once the session is created, you have the option to View Created Session.

Info
When Tenant Setting for Auto reconcile bulk sessions is enabled, if scans created through bulk session are flagged (i.e. animals has been exited, unexpected property etc), this will prevent Auto reconcile of session.
Notes applied to scans will denote the reason the flag was applied.
