Joining Groups can be set up in StockMate on the web. The groups can be setup to manage Multiple Sires or Multiple Dams.
These provide a clear reference to the individual animals within each group.
Subscription to the Breeding Module is required to access this functionality.
Creating a New Joining Group
Select Breeding, Joining Groups, + New Joining Group.
Input the Name of the Joining Group and select Propertyfrom the drop-down list.
The Name given to the Joining Group will act as a Society ID throughout
the rest of StockMate - allowing the Joining Group to be applied as
Parents, Joining Sires/Dams etc. while also being reportable in Animal
Details.
If a Joining Group is created with a Name that matches an existing Society ID in StockMate, any records already associated with the Society ID will also be linked to the Joining Group.
Select Type from the drop-down list, Save.
Type is defaulted to Male, but Female selection can be made.
Select +Add animal to group to add animal details. Use the Lookup function to search for the animal in StockMate by EID, NLIS ID, Visual Tag, Alternate ID, Society ID or Beast ID.
Multiple animals can be added to the Group. Select Save.
Select Get Import Template to download a template. Alternatively select Browse to locate the file on your computer, Open.
Once the CSV file is imported the animal details will be displayed in the Results section of the screen.
If there are any validation errors, these will be visible in the Results area of the screen when the file is imported. The Error Message field will appear on the right hand side of the screen with the reason for the error. The errors can be downloaded and fixed before the file is re-imported into StockMate.
On the Scan screen, use Animal Lookup to Search by Society ID which is the Joining Group Name. Select , input Name, select .
The Joining Group will be displayed as the Joining Male Society ID.
When the Joining Session has been completed, the Joining Group Name will report as the Joining Male. Animal Scans. Animal Details, Pregnancy Tab.
All the Sessions that the Joining Group has been used in will be linked in the Joining Group Editor. To view details, from the Dashboard, select Breeding, Joining Groups. Select the Group record to open the Joining Group Editor.

Select Animals.
Input Search Criteria, if required. Select Load . The Results will be displayed on screen. Select to download results to CSV.
