Classes are broad categories of animals, e.g., Breeders, Domestic, Export, Long Fed, Weaners etc. Each Class would typically share a business unit, life stage, end market or purpose.
Classes should be carefully considered to met operational usage whilst addressing management and Head Office requirements. Classes can be added and edited on the web & app.
Considered categorisation stratergy improves reporting granularity and management simplicity. Consistency in naming conventions across the organisation is critical.
Assigned Classes can change over time, or as a result of husbandry etc. e.g., Weaners become Breeders. StockMate tracks the changes in Class.
