The Gallagher W-0 is a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) Weight Scale device, that can output weight data to the StockMate App on Android Devices. The W-0 can send weight only; therefore a separate device will be required for sending EID information to StockMate. Refer to the Hardware Connections Overview (app) for further information.

Before use, check that the Weigh Scale indicator has the latest firmware installed. Contact the manufacturer for detail.

StockMate Settings

1. From the StockMate Options Menu, tap Hardware Connections (top-right, comms icon).
   

   
   
2. Tap +Add Device, Weigh Scale.

3. Select options so the Hardware Connections screen will look like the screenshot below (Paired Device: select the device paired in step 1). Tap Save.
   

   

   Name the device clearly for easy selection, as multiple devices can be setup within StockMate

   

   Prior to selecting a Paired Device, StockMate will request Location Permission inorder to search for and to pair to the Gallagher W-0. Permission must be granted to enable pairing.
   

   
   
   
   
4. Toggle to initiate the connection. A successful connection will be indicated by a green Bluetooth icon.

   

   A successful connection must be established before proceeding.

   
   
5. To test: Load a weight, on the W- Weigh Scale indicator and it will be transferred to StockMate to the Live Readings panel.

   

   EID reader needs to be paired to the Tablet and connected separately in StockMate.

Using In a Scan Session

To use in a scan session, use Hardware Connections to toggle Devices on. Refer to Create New Scan Session – Session Setup (app) for further details.
To check Hardware connections, tap Hardware Connections (top-right, comms icon), and edit if required.

An EID reader will also be required to scan animals into StockMate. See Hardware Connections Overview (app) for more information.

2. Toggle the Gallagher W-0 Weigh Scales device to connect.
   
   

   The Bluetooth icon will turn green when successfully connected.
