Setup Lots (web & app)

Lots can be used to identify groups of animals that share similar characteristics or are managed together for specific purposes like feeding or tracking, such as in a feedlot. Lot names should be carefully considered to meet operational usage whilst addressing management and Head Office requirements. Lots can be added and edited on the web & app.
Area Manager permission level and above required to add or edit.
Considered categorisation strategy improves reporting granularity and management simplicity. Consistency in naming conventions across the organisation is critical.
Assigned Lots can change over time, or as a result of husbandry etc. StockMate tracks the changes in Lots.

Setup Lots on the Web

  1. Select Configuration, Livestock Attributes, Lots, +New Lot.

  2. Enter the required details for the Lot - Name, Code, User Groups (optional), select Save.
    For further details about setting up User Groups, refer to Setup User Groups (web & app).

  3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 to set up each Lot.

  4. To edit or delete existing Lots, select the Lot, update details, Save.
  5. To filter the listed Lots, select 
    To download the listed Lots to CSV, select 

Setup Lots on the App

  1. On the Dashboard, tap Configuration (top-right cog icon), Livestock Attributes, Lots.

  2. To add a new Lot, tap the + from the top right corner of the screen.
  3.  Input Lot details - Lot Name, Code, User Groups (optional). Tap Save.

  4. To edit a Lot, tap the Lot to edit, update details, Save.
