Setup Tru-Test SRS2, SRS2i, XRS2i Stick Reader (app)

The Tru-Test SRS2, SRS2i, XRS2i Stick Readers, can be used to send EID information to StockMate via Bluetooth. The settings on each of the devices relevant to sending data are identical.

If using EID via Weigh Scales;  pair your EID scanner to the Weigh Scale indicator following the manufacturer’s instructions before linking the Weigh Scale indicator to StockMate on your Android Tablet.

Bluetooth: EID Only

EID Reader

  1. Turn ON the EID Reader. From Home Menu, select Settings, Bluetooth.
     
  2. Ensure Bluetooth setting is set as Manual.
  3. From the Bluetooth Menu, select Advanced. Ensure Connect Mode is set as Default.
     
  4. It is also recommended to disable the Auto Off function.
    From the Settings Menu, select General and ensure Auto Off setting shows Disabled.
     
  5. When connection is established with StockMate, select Scan from Home Menu, to start sending EIDs to StockMate.

StockMate Settings

  1. From the StockMate Options Menu, tap Hardware Connections (top-right, comms icon).
  2. Tap + Add Device, Handheld Reader.
  3. Select options so the Hardware Connections screen will look like the screenshot below. Select the appropriate Model from the dropdown.
  4. Pair the EID Reader to the tablet.
    1. Tap the Bluetooth icon.
    2. Scan for nearby Bluetooth devices and select the Tru-Test Stick Reader from Available devices to Pair. Device will then be listed under Paired devices.
      Tap back from the bottom task bar to return to StockMate.
  5. Select the Paired device from the Device Name dropdown and Save.
  6. Toggle to initiate the connection. A successful connection will be indicated by a green Bluetooth icon.
    A successful connection must be established before proceeding.
  7. Scan an NLIS button to test successful connection. EID will populate Live Readings.
    To assist with device connection troubleshooting, tap the console button the view send/receive data.

Using in a Scan Session

To use in a scan session, use Hardware Connections to toggle Devices on. Refer to Create New Scan Session - Session Setup (app) for further details.
To check Hardware connections, tap Hardware Connections (top-right, comms icon), and edit if required. 
  1. From the StockMate Options Menu, tap Hardware Connections (top-right, comms icon).
  2. Toggle the Tru-Test Stick Reader to connect.

    The Bluetooth icon will turn green when successfully connected.
