Tablet Maintenance

Tablet Maintenance

This article outlines steps to address performance issues with your Tablet or when using the StockMate App.

Within the App

If performance issues arise when using the StockMate App, check the areas outlined below and follow the instructions.

Optimise Database

  1. From the StockMate Dashboard, tap More (three dots at top-right), About & Support.

  2. Tap Optimise database, Continue.
This can substantially improve app performance, if the database has been affected by bad query plans (which can occur after large syncs, including sync from scratch, and restore).

Reduce Data on the App

Reducing historical data on the App can help improve the performance of the app. Refer to Reduce Data on Devices (app) for further details.

On the Tablet

Follow the steps outlined below to clean up the Tablet.

Check Device Battery and Storage

  1. From the Tablet Settings, tap Battery and device care. Tap Optimise now, Done.
  2. Tap Storage. Review Unused apps, Duplicate files and Large files and tidy up as required.

Check for Software Updates

  1. Check that the Device software is up to date. From the Tablet Settings, tap Software update, Download and install.

Manage SD card

  1. On the Tablet home screen, select  (My Files).
  2. Tap SD card, StockMate Backups, LiveBackups. Delete unnecessary Live backups.

Close Open Apps on the Tablet

  1. From the Tablet's navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, tap the three lines.
  2. All the apps currently open on the Tablet will be visible. Long press and swipe up on each app to close it.

Restart the Tablet

Restarting the device is different from simply turning off the Tablet and turning it back on again.
  1. Tap the top of the screen and swipe down to open the Options Menu.
  2. Tap at the top of the screen and swipe down to expand on the available options.
  3. Tap the Power button (top right corner).
  4. Tap Restart.
