EBVs Overview

Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) data can be imported into StockMate, when subscribed to the Breeding Module. Evaluation of EBVs alongside Animal data in StockMate, can assist in making informed breeding and stud herd management decisions.

Administrator or Area Manager permissions are required to access the Breeding Module functionality - including EBV importing and herd reporting.
The articles below provide further information on using EBV functionality:
  1. EBV Import Templates (web) - Create and manage the Import Templates used to enter EBV data. Preset templates, based off BREEDPLAN files, are already included for easy data entry.
  2. EBV Herds (web) - Create and manage EBV Herds. Update EBV Herds by importing new EBV analysis data when provided.
  3. EBVs Reporting (web & app) - For quick and easy analysis, EBV data can be viewed in multiple places on the web and app.
    1. Individual EBVs Report - Serves as a way to compare and review EBVs against captured StockMate data points for your EBV Herd.
    2. EBV Trends - View EBV Trend data by Herd and calving year.
    3. Animal Details - An Animal's individual EBV data, including Selection Index values, and Percentile Charts can be viewed on both web and app.
