Mob-based Overview (web & app)

Mob-based Overview (web & app)

The mob-based method is one of the ways that StockMate calculates livestock inventory and movement of animals.

Choosing Between Individual Animal and Mob-based Systems provides a detailed description of the two methods available in StockMate for recording animal movements and livestock inventory to enable a user to select the most appropriate method. The selection of the method depends on whether the individual animal EID data is available.

In order to use the mob-based function in StockMate the Tenant Settings will need to be configured. Refer to Enable Mob-based Tenant Setting (web) for further details.

Sessions are used throughout StockMate to record movements, handling, arrivals, exists and deaths. Mob-based Sessions can be setup on the web or on the app. Refer to Mob-based Sessions (web) and Mob-based Sessions (app) for instructions on setting up Sessions in StockMate.

The following reports can be generated based on the mob-based recording of animal movements:
  1. Movement Summary Report - Provides an overview of arrivals, transfers, exits and dead numbers for a given date range.
  2. Movement Detail Report - View the detail of sessions that occurred during the specified date range.
  3. Paddock Disposition Report - Gives a Paddock break down of head numbers and weights by Class at a given date.
  4. Livestock on Hand Report (web) - Displays information for Active head numbers at a give point in time.
  5. Livestock on Hand Report (app) - Summary of current Livestock numbers per Property and Paddock, with the ability to drill down to mob detail.
