Inventory Overview (web & app)
Item inventory can be tracked in StockMate, using Inventory Transactions:
- Purchases
- Sales
- Wastage
- Stocktake
The Inventory Transactions: Adding a Purchase, Sale, Wastage, Stocktake (web) details the setup and tracking of inventory transactions on the Web.

Item levels can then be reported on, in various ways, through the Inventory reports. The following Inventory reports are available in StockMate:
- Inventory Report: This report is used to view Item stock levels at a given point in time.
- Running Totals Report: This report is used to view changes to Item stock levels over a given date range.
- Stocktake Report: This report is used to view corrections to Item stock levels made, during a given date range.
- Transaction Detail Report: This report can be used to view further information related to Transactions.
Usage is automatically calculated as Items are applied to animals via StockMate Sessions.
Transactions should be backdated to reflect the date/time they occurred. Calculations could be impacted, particularly once Stocktakes are utilised and associated adjustments are calculated using transaction date/times.
Access to the Inventory section of StockMate is based on a user's permissions:
- Users with Administration permissions have full access to Inventory.
- Area Managers are limited to their Management areas.
- Operators can enter Transactions for their Management areas, but do not have access to Inventory Reports.
