Pedigree Tree and Progeny List (web & app)

Parentage information can be recorded against animals, via scan screen (web and app) or CSV import (web). While the Livestock Report offers basic reporting on parents and grandparents, the Breeding Module allows for more in depth reporting into lineage and progeny. The graphical representations of the Pedigree Tree can be viewed from the web and app, with click throughs to review information on linked animals.
Animals that are not Stock on Hand may be assigned as parents, to StockMate animals, using just the Society ID to identify them.
A Breeding Module subscription is required to access Pedigree Tree and Progeny Lists.

Animal Lookup on the Web

  1. Search the animal using Animal Lookup, select Breeding.
    Animal Lookup supports wildcard characters. Represent a single unknown character with '?' or multiple with '*'.
    EID, NLIS ID, Visual Tag or Society ID can be used in Animal Lookup to find an animal.

  2. The Pedigree Tree displays up to four generations. Select an animal to view the associated Animal Details.
    When selecting an animal 'ctrl + click' will open the relevant Animal Details in a new window. 
    Only one identifier is displayed for each animal. Society ID will take preference, then Name, then Visual Tag, then EID.

  3. The Progeny List displays details for progeny of the animal. Select an animal to view the associated Animal Details.
    When selecting an animal 'ctrl + click' will open the relevant Animal Details in a new window. 
    Only one identifier is displayed for each animal. Society ID will take preference, then Name, then Visual Tag, then EID.

Animal Lookup on the App

  1. From the StockMate Dashboard tap Find Animal.

  2. Enter one of the animal's identifiers, Search.
    Wildcard characters are supported. Represent a single unknown character with '?', or multiple with '*'.

  3. Tap  to expand the Pedigree Tree. Tap an animal to view the associated Animal Details.
    Only one identifier is displayed for each animal. Society ID will take preference, then Name, then Visual Tag, then EID.

  4. Tap  to expand the Progeny List. Tap an animal to view the associated Animal Details.
    Only one identifier is displayed for each animal. Society ID will take preference, then Name, then Visual Tag, then EID.

App Scan Screen

  1. On the App Scan Screen the Pedigree Tree and Progeny List can be accessed via the Parentage card. In Session Setup Animal Details tick Parentage to be visible to allow easy access. 
    Refer to Create New Scan Session – Session Setup (app) for further information.

  2. Tap Pedigree Tree to view.
  3. Tap an animal to view the associated Animal Details. Tap  to return to the scan screen. 
  4. Tap Progeny List to view.

  5. Tap an animal to view the associated Animal Details. Tap  to return to the scan screen.
